AgStar Fund County Fair Facility Upgrade Grant Program

The AgStar Fund for Rural America, the corporate giving program of AgStar Financial Services is proud to once again offer the AgStar Fund’s County Fair Facility Upgrade Grant Program. The mission of the program is to support rural areas in AgStar’s service area by funding county fair organizations as they repair fairground livestock buildings, 4-H buildings or livestock judging arenas.

One of the largest problems faced by rural county fairs is funding building maintenance and upgrades on the fairgrounds. County fairs are struggling on shoestring budgets, with many lacking adequate buildings and structures. Even though many of these fairs have adequate facilities, they can't always afford the upkeep, yearly repair and maintenance of such structures. This grant program is designed to help alleviate some of those financial constraints.

How to Apply

• Location - County fair organizations located in our Local Service Area are eligible to apply if they have not received a grant from AgStar in the past two years.
• Application - Apply online during the month of March.
• Funding - Funding is available for any repair of existing livestock buildings, 4-H buildings or livestock judging arenas.  A total of $50,000 is available and the maximum grant amount is $2,500 per county fair organization.
