The AgStar Fund’s County Fair Facility Upgrade Grant Program was designed to support rural areas in AgStar’s service area by funding county fair organizations as they repaired fairground livestock buildings and livestock judging arenas helping to alleviate some of those financial constraints.

The following are the 2008 recipients of the AgStar Fund County Fair Facility Upgrade Grant Program.

Burnett Cnty Agricultural Society Fair Grantsburg, WI Repair the sheep barn.  Increase and improve the display area for rabbits.
Cass County Ag Society/Pillager Fair Pillager, MN New roof, repair doors, stalls, fix the floor and update electrical in barn.
Chisago County Ag Society Rush City, MN Upgrading the goat pens in the goat barn for safety reasons. 
Dodge County Fair Kasson, MN Fix roof and rewiring of beef barn.
Fillmore County Ag Society Preston, MN Repair the outdoor judging arena by replacing poles and planking on the fence and repairing the judges/announcers stand.
Goodhue Cty Fair/Ag Society Zumbrota, MN Electrical repairs and rewiring of the dairy, goat, poultry, sheep and swine barns.
Houston County Fair Caledonia, MN Repair the roof on the beef barn and apply a spray-on sealant.
Isanti County Agricultural Society, Inc. Cambridge, MN Improve the beef and horse barns with gates and electrical updates.
Jackson County Fair Association Lakefield, MN Update the swine walkway from the barn to the show pavilion and for the holding pens in the show pavilion.
Kanabec County Agriculture Society Brook Park, MN Pour concrete over dirt floor in sheep barn and add water lines in dairy barn.
Martin County Fair Fairmont, MN Concrete floor in the poultry building.
Nicollet County Fair Board St. Peter, MN Repair and whitewash both hog barns and  add a manure station. 
Nobles County Fair Association Worthington, MN Repair/renovate the wash rack in the cattle area.
Northern WI State Fair Chippewa Falls, WI Install two 10' wide concrete aisles in cattle barns.
Rice Cty Ag. Society-Rice Cty Fair Faribault, MN Upgrade swine show arena with new gates and holding area. New pens for the sheep barn.
Rock County Agricultural Society Luverne, MN Install additional gating to sheep/goat barn and new cages for rabbits/poultry barn.
Washington Cty Agricultural Society Afton, MN Upgrading the electric service in swine/sheep barn.
