AgStar Financial Services and Team Members Donate Over $4,000 and Toys to Toys for Tots Programs
The AgStar Fund for Rural America matched team member's financial contributions
MANKATO, Minn., (December 15, 2009) – AgStar Financial Services’ Fund for Rural America recently partnered with team members to donate over $4,000 to support local Toys for Tots programs this holiday season. Moreover, team members donated hundreds of toys to reach out to neighboring rural communities in the true holiday spirit of giving.
AgStar’s team members recognize that many parents, especially in this economy, have struggled just to provide the basics for their children and stress about the extra costs during this time of year. This donation to Toys for Tots may help alleviate some of the burden. “We regularly donate to area community charities to help fulfill essential rural and agriculture needs”, stated Paul DeBriyn, president and CEO of AgStar, “but in the eyes of a child, a new toy during the holidays is just as much of a necessity.”
AgStar collected gifts from team members to provide toys for children living in their local areas. In addition, the AgStar Fund for Rural America matched the $2,000 financial contributions from team members. The contributions were spread throughout AgStar’s service area.
